You can pick up a basic sensor alarm for as little as £10 which will do the job and even if you cannot afford CCTV, having a fake camera up can be enough to put burglars off in the first place.

If you keep your car in the garage then you should invest in an alarm and a decent lock to ensure that it is safe when away over night. CCTV can be useful if you get broken in to and it goes to court and used as evidence.
