CCTV and alarms

Many people have CCTV, alarms or both fitted to the inside of their home to catch or deter unwanted visitors, but have you considered the safety of any property outside your home. Many people have garages or sheds that may store valuable items such as lawn mowers, power washers, and gardening tools. If there is no CCTV  or alarm of your shed or garage then this may be an easy target for thieves looking for a quick getaway. You can pick up a basic sensor alarm for as little as £10 which will do the job and even if you cannot afford CCTV, having a fake camera up can be enough to put burglars off in the first place.

If you keep your car in the garage then you should invest in an alarm and a decent lock to ensure that it is safe when away over night. CCTV can be useful if you get broken in to and it goes to court and used as evidence.
