Car park security

When parking your car in a public car park you may be concerned about the security. Almost all car parks states that your car is parked at your own risk and that they will not be liable for theft or damage of any vehicle.

Although this may be the case, many carparks are still installed with CCTV cameras and often security barriers. Parking your car under a CCTV camera will allow you peace of mind that should anything happen to your vehicle there is a good chance that it will be recorded. If you do return to your car to find it has been damaged or broken in to, then get in touch with the security firm or car park attendant as soon as possible to check the CCTV as some companies record over it on a daily or weekly basis. Be sure to also inform the police as they may not be able to check the CCTV for you unless you have a crime reference number.
