When you go to a place you are unfamiliar with, such as a new holiday destination you need to be extra vigilant and be aware of your surroundings. You should always try and book your travel arrangements in advance and use reputable firms. Make sure that someone else knows where you are all the time and don’t forget to charge up your phone to keep with you, out of sight.
If you are carrying a rucksack or handbag, do not put it down and make sure that it is zipped up. Backpacks can be easily unzipped when being carried on your back. You may wish to put a small padlock on or carry the item in your hand when going through business areas.
